Outcry in 21 states! Tomorrow the storm will blow at a speed of 75, IMD issues red alert

Monsoon has taken its dangerous course across the country. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red and yellow alerts for 21 states of the country and warned that the coming day i.e. July 7 can increase the problems of the people. Due to the active monsoon, heavy rains, thunderstorms and stormy winds are about to begin in many parts of North, East and Central India. According to the Meteorological Department, the wind speed in some areas can reach 70 to 75 kilometers per hour, which can pose a risk to life and property.

Why did the weather change?

According to the Meteorological Department, the ‘low pressure’ area formed from Gujarat to Kerala coast and the ‘Avadab’ created in the North-West Bay of Bengal have made the monsoon very powerful. This weather system will move towards North Odisha and North Chhattisgarh in the next 24 hours, due to which widespread torrential rains are expected.

Danger is looming over these 21 states

IMD has issued an alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. Winds at a speed of 70-75 kilometers per hour and heavy rain are expected in the capital Delhi on July 7. The temperature here is likely to be between 29 to 34 degrees Celsius.

Condition of UP, Bihar and mountains

Winds will blow at a speed of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour in districts like Rampur, Saharanpur, Meerut, Agra, Mathura, Jhansi and Banda of Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, there is a warning of storm in many districts of Bihar including Champaran, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Darbhanga. Talking about the mountains, there is an alert of heavy rain in Nainital, Chamoli of Uttarakhand and Shimla, Kullu, Kangra of Himachal from July 7 to 9. The situation may also worsen in Kishtwar and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

What to do for safety?

The Meteorological Department has made a special appeal to the common people. Stay in safe places during bad weather, maintain distance from trees and electric poles and avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary. Avoid going to waterlogged places as incidents of lightning and uprooting of trees may occur.
