Over 5,000 students-parents participate in protests against NEET question paper leak at Indore’s Bhoorkuan

Students’ agitation against the leak of NEET question papers continues in Indore’s Bhaorkuan area. More than 5,000 students, parents, teachers and local residents participated in the movement. The protestors are continuing their agitation demanding transparency in examinations and strict action against the culprits.

The agitation which started on June 30 in Bhorkuan area of ​​Indore in Madhya Pradesh is continuing. More than 5,000 students, parents, coaching teachers and local residents gathered at Tantya Bhil Crossroads on Wednesday. The protest continued despite the rain and the students continued to protest under the flyover with banners and posters.

Slogans of “Justice” and “Punish those guilty of question paper leak” were raised during the protest. Students participating in the movement demanded that strict action should be taken against the culprits to maintain the impartiality of the competitive examination.

The main demand of the protesters is strict legal action against those responsible for the NEET question paper leak case. They also demanded the resignation of the Union Education Minister. According to the agitators, this is not just an exam issue, but an issue related to students’ confidence in the entire education system.

Students are staying at the protest site day and night. One group is resting while the other group continues to move. People from different areas of the city are regularly coming to support the movement. Many teachers and parents also expressed solidarity with the students by supporting their demands.

To take the movement forward, the protestors have announced to organize ‘Yub Nyaya Yatra’. The objective of this yatra is to bring the demand for transparency and accountability in the examination system to a wider level by involving the people of Indore and surrounding areas.

Bhaurkuan area is considered as a major educational hub of Madhya Pradesh, home to a large number of students preparing for NEET, JEE, UPSC and other competitive exams. Because of this, this movement that started here is not only a local issue, but has become a topic of discussion among students across the state. The agitating students said that the protest will continue until concrete steps are taken regarding their demands.
