‘Paid 6K for disaster’:Fans furious as Karan Aujla’s Delhi concert turns violent | WATCH

New Delhi: Fans were left furious after Punjabi singer Karan Aujla’s highly anticipated concert in Delhi turned into a nightmare on Saturday. Long queues, fights, stolen wristbands, and zero security marred the event at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

What promised to be an exciting night ended in chaos, with many calling it the “worst experience ever.” Social media exploded with videos of stampedes and damaged ticket counters. Organisers faced heavy backlash for poor planning.

Karan Aujla’s concert chaos unfolds

The event quickly spiralled out of control as fans waited hours for entry bands at the box office. Videos showed massive crowds pushing forward, leading to a stampede where police had to intervene. One attendee posted on social media, “Pathetic event management by @district_india for Karan Aujla, Delhi concert. People literally stood for hours, hundreds involved in a stampede. The bands were not issued. Literally paid 6k for D**S**t.”

Theft and fights erupt

Reports emerged of people snatching passes and wristbands from counters and reselling them at higher prices outside. Legitimate ticket holders were left without entry, sparking anger. Inside the venue, scuffles broke out, including a fight in the VIP section. A video caption read, “Karan Aujla Delhi concert scenes. The crowd has broken into the ticket counters and taken all the passes. Organisers on the spot had to run.”

Fans slam organisers

Social media users ripped into the organisers, District India, for overcrowding the stadium beyond its 35k-40k capacity with 70k people. One wrote, “This is why I question whether India is ready for concert culture…seriously stealing people’s tickets and then fighting inside the venue too.” Another fumed, “Concert was no doubt amazing… but the management could be better, no police, no security.” Complaints poured in about high prices too: “My daughter went yesterday, the water bottle was ₹250- and food too was damn expensive, she spent ₹6K for the tickets shear waste of time, effort n money.”

Overpriced and overcrowded

Many shared similar stories of disappointment. “We had the same experience. The district clearly showed no responsibility. Worst experience ever,” one user posted. Fans who paid for fanpit access couldn’t enter due to crowds, with one saying, “I had fanpit still wasn’t able to go in fanpit… due to the crowd and management closed entry.” Calls grew for penalties: “It was a mess, the district should be penalised for this, it’s a disaster.”

Despite the mayhem, Karan Aujla thrilled those who got in with a dramatic pop-up lift entry and zipline across the stadium. But the poor management overshadowed his performance, leaving fans demanding better from future events.
