Painful life of disabled Dulu Nath of Mokamchhada Colony of Dulabhchhada GP of Shribhoomi district, plea for treatment and government help.
Shribhoomi: 58-year-old disabled Dulu Nath (father: Late Deepcharan Nath), resident of Mokamchhada Colony under Dulabhchhada Gram Panchayat of Ramakrishnanagar assembly constituency of Shribhoomi district of Assam, is today forced to live his life amidst severe financial crisis and physical helplessness. Two consecutive fatal road accidents have completely changed his life and today he is unable to live a normal life.
According to local people, Dulu Nath lost one of his legs in a tragic road accident in the year 2005. Despite this, he did not lose courage and despite being disabled, he somehow managed to support his family by selling tea in the big market near Dulabhchhada. But in another road accident in the year 2022, he suffered serious injury to his other leg. Despite long-term treatment, he could not fully recover. At present his physical condition is so weak that even doing daily work has become almost impossible for him.
The financial condition of the family is also very pathetic. One of his daughters is studying in Ambal Ramakrishnanagar College, but it has become difficult for the family to bear the traveling expenses. He is responsible for the education and maintenance of his three children, an 8-year-old son and two daughters, due to which the entire family is living amidst financial crisis and uncertainty. According to the information, Dulu Nath is still deprived of the benefits of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. Their mud and dilapidated house starts leaking during the rains and the inside of the house gets filled with water, due to which the entire family is forced to live in very difficult conditions.
In such difficult circumstances, Dulu Nath has made an emotional appeal to the popular Chief Minister of Assam, local administration, Shribhoomi MP Kripanath Malah and Ramakrishna Nagar Assembly constituency MLA Bijay Malakar to provide necessary support for treatment, financial assistance, housing facilities and education of children. Aware citizens have appealed to the government and public representatives to take immediate humanitarian intervention in this matter. He says that if necessary assistance and benefits of government schemes are provided in time, then this disabled and helpless family will be able to live a dignified life and move towards becoming self-reliant.
