Pak Army Chief Asim Munir made nephew son-in-law, got daughter married to brother’s son

Asim Munir Daughter Wedding: Recently, discussions have intensified in Pakistani media and social media regarding the marriage of the daughter of Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir. It has been claimed in Pakistani media that General Asim Munir has got his daughter married to his own nephew. Confirming these claims, the media has shared information on different forums.

Pakistani journalist Zahid Gishkori shared a video on social media platform X saying that General Asim Munir has got his daughter married to his brother’s son. According to him, this marriage took place in Rawalpindi last week. Gishkori said it was a high-profile but relatively secretive ceremony, which was kept limited for security reasons.

Munir made nephew son-in-law

Another journalist Raja Muneeb also confirmed this information and said that “Field Marshal Asim Munir has got his daughter married to the son of his real brother Qasim Munir.” He told that both are brothers and the marriage was organized in Rawalpindi.

According to Zahid Gishkori, the groom’s name is Abdur Rehman, son of Syed Qasim Munir. He earlier served as Captain in Pakistan Army, but later joined Civil Services. Pakistan has a special quota in civil services for army officers, under which Abdur Rehman is currently serving as Assistant Commissioner.

Many leaders including Shahbaz attended the wedding

Gishkori also informed that General Asim Munir has four daughters and this was the marriage of his third daughter. The bride’s name is said to be Mahnoor. Many prominent political and military personalities including Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif were present at the wedding. Apart from this, many retired generals and former army chiefs also attended the ceremony.

The President of the United Arab Emirates did not attend this wedding ceremony. He claimed that according to information received from reliable sources, although more than 400 guests were present at the wedding, the entire event was kept a top secret due to security reasons.
