Pak President Asif Ali Zardari’s claim- ‘India is preparing for another war…’

Islamabad, March 2. Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has claimed that India is preparing for another war. Addressing a joint session of Parliament on Monday, he said India’s leaders are openly talking about war, but as a person who has always been a supporter of regional peace, he would not recommend that path.

‘India should come out of the atmosphere of war, Pakistan is ready for talks’

Asif Ali Zardari also said that Pakistan is ready for talks with India and dialogue instead of war is the only way for regional security. He said, ‘My message is for India to come out of the atmosphere of war and sit at the table for meaningful talks because this is the path to regional peace and stability.’ This statement of Zardari has come at a time when tension has increased regarding the security situation in South Asia.

Afghanistan accused of violating Doha Agreement

Amidst the noise of the opposition, Zardari also made a statement regarding Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan’s tolerance for cross-border attacks has reached its limit. He accused the Afghan leadership of violating the Doha Agreement and said that terrorist organizations like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) are getting shelter from Afghan soil. He said that no domestic or foreign power will be allowed to disturb the peace of Pakistan from neighboring areas.

Also condemned the ongoing military actions against Iran

The Pakistani President also condemned the ongoing military actions against Iran. He supported Iran’s sovereignty and mourned the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Meanwhile, in view of the violent protests following the assassination of Iran’s supreme leader, a three-day curfew has been imposed by deploying the army in Skardu in Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan. Also, clashes continue on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
