Bangladesh defeated Pakistan 2-1 in the ODI series, Salman Agha’s century in the third ODI went in vain.

PAK vs BAN: Pakistan team has faced 2-1 defeat in the 3 ODI series played on the tour of Bangladesh. In the third ODI match played at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh won the series by defeating Pakistan by 11 runs. Batting first, Bangladesh had scored 290 runs. In reply, Pakistan team was reduced to 279 runs. Salman Agha definitely scored a century for Pakistan, but could not lead the team to victory.

Pakistan had a very bad start

Pakistan had a very bad start while chasing the target of 291 runs. Pakistan had lost 3 wickets for just 17 runs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan was sent to the pavilion by Taskin Ahmed. Sahibzada Farhan walked out after scoring only 6 runs. Then in the next over, Nahid Rana dismissed Maaz Sadaqat. Maaz Sadaqat also got out after scoring 6 runs. Pakistan got its third blow in the form of Mohammad Rizwan. Mohammad Rizwan was made his victim by Taskin Ahmed on the personal score of 4 runs.

After this, Ghazi Ghori and Abdul Samad took the innings forward, but again could not make a big partnership. Ghazi Ghori was out after scoring 29 runs on 39 balls. He was promoted by Nahid Rana. After this, Abdul Samad returned to the pavilion after scoring 34 runs on 45 balls. He was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman.

There was a partnership of 76 runs between Salman Ali Aga and Saad Masood

After this, Salman Ali Aga and Saad Masood took Pakistan’s innings forward and there was a partnership of 76 runs between them for the sixth wicket, but then this partnership was broken by Mustafizur Rahman and Saad Masood was dismissed. Saad Masood was out after scoring 38 runs on 44 balls. After this, Pakistan got the 7th blow in the form of Faheem Ashraf. Faheem Ashraf was dismissed by Taskin Ahmed on a personal score of 9 runs.

Salman Agha’s century did not work for Pakistan

Whereas Salman Ali Agha remained at the other end and along with Shaheen Afridi made a partnership of 52 runs for the 8th wicket, after which it seemed that Pakistan could win the match and win the series, but Taskin Ahmed snatched the victory from Pakistan by dismissing Salman Agha. Salman Agha scored a brilliant century. He played a brilliant inning of 106 runs in 98 balls, but his century did not work for the team. As soon as Salman was out, the entire Pakistan team was reduced to 279 runs. Pakistan lost the 10th wicket in the form of Shaheen Afridi. Shaheen was out after scoring 37 runs in 38 balls and Pakistan had to face defeat by 11 runs.

Bangladesh won the first ODI in the 3-match ODI series. Whereas Pakistan had won the second ODI match. In such a situation, the third ODI match was decisive. Now Bangladesh defeated Pakistan and won the series 2-1.

In this match against Pakistan, Bangladesh team, after losing the toss and batting first, scored 290 runs for 5 wickets. Tanjeed Hasan scored a brilliant century. He played an innings of 107 runs in 107 balls. During this period, 6 fours and 7 sixes came from his bat. Tauheed Hriday played an unbeaten inning of 48 runs with the help of 4 fours in 44 balls. Liton Das scored 41 runs on 51 balls. While Mohammad Hasan contributed 36 runs and Nazmul Hussain Shanto contributed 27 runs. Haris Rauf took 3 wickets for Pakistan. Apart from this, captain Shaheen Afridi and spinner Abrar Ahmed got 1-1 success.
