Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI: Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by a huge margin of 128 runs in the rain-affected second ODI on Friday (March 13). With this victory, Pakistan has leveled the three-match ODI series 1-1. In this match played at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium located in Mirpur, Dhaka, Pakistan team, batting first, was all out after scoring 274 runs in 47.3 overs. In response, rain disrupted the game during Bangladesh’s innings and Bangladesh got a new target of 243 runs in 32 overs to win. But Bangladesh team could score only 114 runs after losing all the wickets in 23.3 overs.

Bangladesh collapsed like a house of cards

Chasing the target of 275 runs, Bangladesh had a very bad start and the team lost 3 wickets at the score of just 15 runs. Saif Hasan was out after scoring 12 runs and Tanjeed Hasan was out after scoring only one run. After this Nazmul Hussain Shanto returned to the pavilion without opening the account. However, Liton Das and Tauheed Hridoy tried to control the innings and made a partnership of 58 runs for the fourth wicket. Liton scored 41 runs on 33 balls, while Hridoy added 28 runs. But after the dismissal of these two, Bangladesh’s innings fell apart like a pack of cards.

Due to rain, Bangladesh team was all out for 114 runs in response to the new target of 243 runs under DLS method. For Pakistan, 20 year old all-rounder Maaz Sadaqat bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets. Apart from him, Haris Rauf also took 3 wickets. While captain Shaheen Afridi took 2 wickets, Mohammad Wasim Junior and Faheem Ashraf got 1 wicket each.

Pakistan team collapsed for 274 runs

Earlier, Pakistan team, which came to bat first after losing the toss, could not even play the full 50 overs and was all out after scoring 274 runs in 47.3 overs. However, openers Sahibzada Farhan and Maaz Sadakat gave a great start to the team. Both of them made a partnership of 103 runs in 79 balls for the first wicket. Farhan scored 31 runs in 46 balls, while Sadaqat played a quick inning of 75 runs in 46 balls. After this Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Aga took over the innings. Both of them made an important partnership of 109 runs in 115 balls for the fourth wicket.

Salman Agha was run out after scoring 64 runs in 62 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. On the very next ball, Mohammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion after scoring 44 runs in 59 balls. After this, Pakistan’s innings faltered and lost 7 wickets for just 43 runs. Hussain Talat (9), Abdul Samad (11) and Faheem Ashraf (14) were out cheaply. At the same time, captain Shaheen Afridi returned to the pavilion after scoring only 3 runs, Haris Rauf 2 runs and Mohammad Wasim Junior 1 run. Rishad Hussain took maximum 3 wickets for Bangladesh. Apart from him, Mehdi Hasan Miraj took 2 wickets, while Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana took 1 wicket each.
