The Lankan team scored 207 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs and Pakistan won the match by 5 runs. The biggest innings for the Lankan team was played by their captain Dasun Shanaka, who returned unbeaten after scoring 76 runs on 31 balls.
Apart from him, Pawan Rathnayake played a half-century inning of 58 runs in 37 balls. Pakistan may have won this match, but it is out of the tournament.

New Zealand’s fate also depended on the result of the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
