Pakistan: 13 terrorists killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one army officer killed in firing
Peshawar: Thirteen terrorists were killed in three separate operations launched by security forces in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. At the same time, an army officer died during this operation. The media branch of Pakistan Army gave this information. He told that all these operations started in the early hours of Thursday. In the first operation, security forces killed two terrorists in Jani Khel area of Bannu district. Five terrorists were killed and eight others were injured during the second operation in North Waziristan.
However, in the meanwhile Major Muhammad Awais (31) died in the firing. The third operation took place in South Waziristan and here six terrorists were killed and eight others were injured in an encounter with security forces. Emphasizing its commitment towards eliminating terrorism, the Army said that operations have been launched to eliminate terrorists present in the area…Such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
1566 incidents in last 10 months
According to the latest data from the Interior Ministry, out of 1,566 terrorist incidents in the last 10 months, 948 occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which 583 people were killed. Earlier on Monday night, the Pakistani Army attacked several Taliban positions in Afghanistan, killing at least 46 people. According to a statement issued by the army's media wing, security forces conducted an operation on December 24-25 in Sararogha of South Waziristan district on the alleged presence of TTP terrorists. The army said there was heavy firing during the operation, in which 13 terrorists were killed.
Pakistani Army stunned by the killing of 16 soldiers
Pakistan's army has been devastated by the killing of 16 of its soldiers by Taliban terrorists. She is now continuously attacking Taliban. The operation was launched after 16 soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack on a check post in Makin, South Waziristan on Saturday.
