Pakistan Afghanistan Conflict: A heartbreaking news is coming out from Afghanistan. On Monday, Afghanistan accused the Pakistan Army of targeting a hospital in Kabul where drug addicts are treated in air strikes. Health Ministry spokesman Sharafat Zaman said that more than 400 people were killed in these attacks and the entire hospital structure was destroyed. Pakistan rejected the allegation, saying that its strikes were completely focused on terrorist hideouts and no civilian sites were targeted.

Also, let us tell you that this terrible attack took place a few hours after Afghan officials reported firing on the common border between the two sides. Four people were killed in this firing in Afghanistan. The deadliest conflict between the neighboring countries in years has entered its third week. Health Ministry spokesman Sharafat Zaman, giving the death toll in a television interview broadcast on X, said that the entire part of the treatment hospital had been destroyed. Afghanistan government spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid also posted the video. Local television channels showed footage of firefighters struggling to extinguish the fire in the debris of the building. Mujahid had earlier condemned this attack on X, saying that it was a violation of Afghanistan’s border. He said that most of those killed and injured were patients who were undergoing treatment at that place.

What is Pakistan’s reaction?

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s spokesman, Musharraf Zaidi, dismissed the allegations as baseless and said no hospital in Kabul was targeted. In a post on The ministry said that these places were being used against innocent Pakistani citizens.

The ministry said that Pakistan’s attack was “absolutely precise and was carried out with great care so that no collateral damage was caused.” It described Mujahid’s claim as “false and misleading”, aimed at inciting public sentiments and covering up what the ministry described as “illegal support for cross-border terrorism”.
