Pakistan appoint Mohammad Rizwan as captain for ODIs and T20 News in hindi

Rizwan replaces white-ball captain Babar Azam, who stepped down in early October.

Mohammad Rizwan News In Hindi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Mohammad Rizwan as its captain for the white-ball format. Rizwan was made the captain of the ODI and T20 teams in a press conference chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. Meanwhile, Agha Ali Salman has been made the vice-captain for both formats.

PCB has announced the squad for the upcoming ODI and T20 series against Australia and Zimbabwe. The board did not announce the captain at that time and said that the new captain would be announced in the press conference.

Rizwan replaces white-ball captain Babar Azam, who stepped down in early October. Babar was dropped as Pakistan captain across all three formats after the ODI World Cup 2023, but was appointed captain of the white-ball format in May.

Rizwan's first task as full-time captain will be to lead Pakistan in the limited-overs tour of Australia starting on November 4. The ODI series will first begin on November 4 at the MCG, followed by the second and third matches on November 8 and 10. The T20I series will start from November 14.

After this, Pakistan will tour Zimbabwe for three ODIs and as many T20 matches starting from November 24. Rizwan is part of Zimbabwe's ODI team, but has not been selected in the T20 matches. In his absence, newly appointed vice-captain Salman Ali Aga is understood to lead the T20 matches, barring any last-minute changes.
