Lieutenant General of Pakistan winks! Army spokesperson winks at female journalist, flood of memes on social media

A video has surfaced from India’s neighboring country Pakistan which has set social media on fire – and that too not because of any political statement, but because of a nap! Yes, Pakistan Army’s ISPR chief Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary was caught on camera winking at a female journalist in a press conference. What happened after that was enough to gain the ‘respect’ of both Pakistan’s politics and social media.

In fact, journalist Absa Koman asked a question on all the allegations against Imran Khan – “National security threat, anti-state, and playing into the hands of Delhi… how is all this different? Should there be any new development ahead?” On this, General Chaudhary first gave great ‘knowledge’ and said – “And add a fourth one… He is also a mental patient.”

Just saying this, General Saheb smiled and winked at the journalist – and this wink became the mother of thousands of memes in Pakistan. On social media, people took a jibe at the condition of the country and wrote – “Camera is on, still such actions… Democracy is over in Pakistan, now only drama is left.” One user even called it “the meme of the entire country”.

As soon as the video went viral, social media went crazy. People were surprised and also making fun.

One user wrote, “So much courage in front of the camera… Democracy is over in Pakistan, now only drama is left.”

Another taunted, “Hey boss, is it a press conference or a flirt conference?”

The third one raised questions on the fate of Pakistan itself, “A meme of a nation.”

There is already a political circus going on in Pakistan, on top of that the army spokesperson winks on-camera… then what! There was a queue of memes, reels and jokes. Many users jokingly asked – “Is ISPR’s new slogan: ‘Wink for the Nation’?”

But the real fun came when General Chaudhary himself started firing more arrows at Imran Khan in the press conference the next day. Without taking his name, he called him a ‘narcissist’ and alleged that while sitting in jail, Khan is calling such people to come out and poison against the army. He said, “We will not allow anyone to build a wall between the army and the public. There are rights in the Constitution, but there are some limits too… and that limit is national security!”

He did not stop here – he also repeated the old allegation that the attack on military bases on May 9, 2023 was planned by Imran Khan. “Isn’t that the person who attacked the army headquarters?” Chaudhary asked.
