Kabul Hospital Airstrike: Pakistan has attacked a hospital built for the treatment of drug addicts in Kabul. At least 400 people died in this attack in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul late on Monday night, while about 350 people are said to be injured.

In the video surfaced on social media, the hospital is seen on fire and firefighters are seen trying to control the fire. This is considered to be the biggest attack so far in the ongoing war between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Since when have Pakistan and Afghanistan been fighting a war?

This attack has taken place at a time when fighting has been going on between Afghanistan and Pakistan for the last three weeks. Afghanistan government’s deputy spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat said on social media platform X that the airstrike took place at around 9 pm on Monday night. According to him, large parts of the 2000-bed hospital were destroyed in this attack.

Fitrat said that so far the death toll has reached 400, while about 350 people have been reported injured. The attack comes at a time when tensions and fighting have been going on between the two neighboring countries for the last three weeks, which is being considered as one of the biggest military confrontations in recent years.

Viral videos on social media

Local TV channels have shared some videos on social media, in which emergency workers are seen pulling out the injured by torchlight. Firefighters are trying to extinguish the fire amid the debris.

Kabul has blamed Pakistan for this attack. However, Pakistan has rejected these allegations as baseless and said that no hospital was targeted in Kabul.

What did Pakistan say on the attack?

Mosharraf Zaidi, a spokesman for Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, said that only military bases and structures linked to the terrorist network were targeted in the attacks. He said that in these attacks, stores of technical equipment and ammunition related to the Afghan Taliban were targeted. According to the Associated Press, action was also taken against the hideouts of anti-Pakistan militants present in Kabul and Nangarhar.
