ICC punished Pakistani player, imposed fine, also got demerit points
Pakistani Player Sidra Ameen: ICC has punished Pakistan women’s cricket team’s star batsman Sidra Amin. Actually Sidra Amin has been found guilty of violating the ICC code of conduct. Sidra Amin has been found guilty of Level 1 under the ICC rules in the ODI match against South Africa on 22 February, after which the ICC has sentenced him. Apart from the fee reduction in the match, he has also been given one demerit point.

Giving information, the ICC said that Pakistani batsman Sidra Amin has been found guilty of violating the ICC Code of Conduct under Article 2.2, which relates to causing damage to cricket equipment or the field or any other things during international matches. In this case, a fine of 50% of his match fee has been imposed and one demerit point has also been given.

ICC also informed that this is her second violation in the last 24 months, due to which Sidra Amin’s demerit points have now increased to 2. Sidra Amin has accepted her mistake. Let us tell you that if a player gets a couple of 4 or more demerit points in 2 years, then ICC can ban him for one or two matches.

What is the whole matter?
This case pertains to the ODI match played between Pakistan and South Africa women’s team on 22 February. In this match, after getting out in the 24th over of Pakistan’s innings, Sidra Amin slammed her bat on the ground before leaving the crease. Earlier, Sidra Amin had also committed this crime against India in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, after which the ICC gave punishment.
