Pakistan defeated Namibia and made place in Super-8
New Delhi: In the 35th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan defeated Namibia by 102 runs and secured its place in the Super-8 round. The match was held at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo, where Pakistan, batting first, set a huge target of 200 runs. In response to this target, Namibia’s team was reduced to just 97 runs.
Pakistan’s bowling brilliance
Pakistan’s bowling performed brilliantly. Usman Tariq took four wickets, which was the best reflection of his contribution. Apart from this, Shadab Khan also took three wickets. Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Mirza took one wicket each. Batting first, Pakistan scored 199 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs.
Sahibzada Farhan’s century innings
Sahibzada Farhan played an excellent century for Pakistan. He scored 100 runs in 58 balls and hit 11 fours and 4 sixes. Along with him, Shadab Khan also remained unbeaten, who added 36 runs in 22 balls. Captain Salman Aga scored 38 runs on 23 balls, while Sam Ayub contributed 14 runs on 12 balls. For Namibia, Jack Brassell took two wickets, while captain Gerhard Erasmus took one wicket.
