Pakistan conducted airstrike on Afghanistan border? Claim to destroy terrorist hideouts

New information has come to light regarding Pakistan’s airstrike in Afghanistan. Tolo News quoted sources as saying that the Pakistani Air Force targeted a religious seminary in Barmal district of Paktika province of Afghanistan. According to the report, Pakistani jets also carried out several airstrikes in Khogyani district of Nangarhar province. Tolo News reported that since Saturday, several attacks have been carried out in the Barmal and Argun districts of Paktika, as well as the Khogyani, Bahsod and Ghani Khel districts of Nangarhar.

Pakistani media sources have also confirmed the air strikes carried out by Islamabad. The report said that these attacks were carried out targeting alleged terrorist camps near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Geo News quoted Pakistan’s Information Ministry as saying that the attacks targeted seven camps and bases of Fitna Al Khawarij (FAK), its affiliates and Daesh Khorasan Province (DKP). The ministry claimed the action was taken with “complete precision and caution” in response to recent suicide attacks.

According to the report, the leadership sitting in Afghanistan and their associates have been said to be behind the suicide attacks that took place during Ramadan in Islamabad, Bajaur and Bannu. The ministry said that responsibility for these attacks was claimed by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Daesh affiliates.

Islamabad says that it has repeatedly told the Afghan Taliban not to allow Afghan land to be used by terrorist organizations against Pakistan. However, Pakistan itself has been facing allegations at the international level for a long time that it has provided safe haven and help to many terrorist organizations operating in the region.

In its statement, Pakistan said that it wants the interim government of Afghanistan to fulfill its responsibility and not allow its land to be used against Pakistan. Pakistan has also appealed to the international community to put pressure on the Afghan authorities to fulfill the promises made under the Doha Agreement.

According to Dawn newspaper, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said on Thursday that tension on the border has increased after the deadly attack in Bajaur. In such a situation, Pakistan has the right to take action in Afghanistan for the safety of its citizens. Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said in the weekly press conference, “Pakistan has a clear demand that Afghan land should not be used for terrorism inside Pakistan. Until this demand is met, all options will remain open while being patient.”
