Pakistan Cricket broke silence after Gary Kirsten's resignation, said – the team will soon get a new coach.
Sports Desk: Nothing is going well in Pakistan cricket. Pakistan cricket has been in the news continuously in the last few days. First, either drop Babar Azam or declare the team without a captain. After the captain's announcement, Pakistan's limited overs coach Gary Kirsten resigned from the post. After which there was an earthquake in Pakistan cricket.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that Gary Kirsten has violated the board's contract by ending his tenure. Naqvi said that Kirsten has terminated the contract with the board. “Kirsten committed some violations by breaking her contract with the PCB,” he told the media. We did not take any initiative, they terminated the contract with us.”

Gary Kirsten has not given a reason for his resignation. But it is understood that the board did not seek his opinion while announcing the squad for the Australia and Zimbabwe tours and the new captain for the white-ball format. PCB sources claimed that Kirsten had breached his contract by not spending enough time in Pakistan. Kirsten was insisting on having a completely foreign coaching staff.
Naqvi said that he has started the process of finding a new head coach for the Pakistan cricket team and so far he has talked to four-five potential candidates in this matter. “We will have a new head coach in the white-ball format by the end of this month as Jason Gillespie has agreed to join the team in Australia only on an interim basis,” he said. But he prefers coaching in Test cricket. He wants to focus on that role. The new coach of Pakistan team will join the team before the Zimbabwe tour.
