Pakistan Fuel Crisis: Will Pakistan come to a standstill? Fuel stock will end after April 14, there may be a huge panic

News India Live, Digital Desk: The problems of Pakistan, which is facing economic crisis, are not showing any sign of decreasing. Now another big crisis has arisen in front of the country, fuel crisis. According to latest reports, Pakistan has stock of LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) and petrol-diesel left only till April 14. After this, there is a serious threat of stoppage of fuel supply in the entire country. Why are the oil reserves getting emptied? The condition of Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves is very poor, due to which it seems unable to buy oil and gas from the international market. Payment crisis: There is a huge shortage of dollars to make payments to foreign suppliers. Delay in shipment: Many oil companies have warned of stopping their shipments due to lack of guarantee of payment. New inflation issue Record: If the crisis is not averted, the prices of petrol and diesel in Pakistan may cross ₹ 300 to ₹ 350 per liter. The general public and industries will be adversely affected. As the deadline of April 14 approaches, there is an atmosphere of fear among the industrialists and common citizens of Pakistan. Electricity crisis: A large part of Pakistan’s electricity production is dependent on gas. Running out of gas means a long-term blackout. Transport stalled: Goods transportation and public transport can be completely affected due to the shortage of petrol and diesel. Food shortage: The fuel crisis will directly send food prices skyrocketing. What option does the government have? The Prime Minister’s Office and the Finance Ministry are constantly requesting help from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and friendly countries (China, Saudi Arabia). However, it does not seem easy to get relief due to stringent conditions and old debt burden. Experts say that if big funds are not received in the next two weeks, Pakistan may move towards a ‘Sri Lanka like situation’.
