“Pakistan has made the business of terrorism, created proxy organizations”, big statement of Afghan MP Solemankhil.
Exiled Afghan Parliament member Maryam Solemankhil on Friday made serious allegations against Pakistan, saying that Pakistan had made terrorism its business and nurtured terrorist organizations, especially proxy groups like Taliban, which have now turned against Islamabad. Solemankhil made this statement amid the increasing conflict on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In an interview with ANI, Solemankhil strongly criticized the recent air strikes carried out by Pakistan on Afghan soil and described them as devastating for Afghan families. He objected to Pakistan’s repeated claims that they were targeting terrorists, despite there being no evidence of any major terrorists being killed following Pakistani strikes.
Soleimankhil slammed Pakistan and its government as a “cancer”, particularly due to their close affiliation with terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, as well as harboring al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
He said, “My own ancestral village Barmal, Paktika was attacked, and this is not the first time. Every time Pakistan carries out air strikes, they claim that they are killing terrorists, but I have not yet heard the name of a single person whom they have killed. But they sit with the leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. They had given shelter to Osama bin Laden. Khawaja Asif also admitted that They were used by the US to provide shelter, training and support to the Taliban.
Solemankhil further said, “They created this proxy and made a business of terrorism. The foundation of a state as Pakistan is based on destabilizing the region. They are responsible for this. The foundation of the state of Pakistan is based on destabilizing the region. They are the problem of the region. They are like cancer in the region.”
Solemankhil blamed Pakistan and said that the ongoing conflicts are selectively affecting the Afghan Pashtuns and Baloch, while it is not affecting the Punjabis of Pakistan.
She said, “I don’t think the entire ISI is against the Taliban. I think the roots are very deep. I do believe that not a single Taliban leader has been killed. Please show me one Taliban leader who is dead. It is not happening. Where is the conflict happening? It is happening in the Pashtun areas. Pashtuns and Baloch are dying. Have you seen even a single Punjabi dying? No, God forbid. I do not support war, but I It is very sad to see the war happening only in Afghan areas and I think this story is more complicated than it seems.”
“The Taliban were created by Pakistan and who is benefiting financially from this war? Pakistan. They are going to ask for loans from the IMF and for more help because they started this conflict. This is disgusting. This is very sad,” the exiled MP said.
The comments come amid air strikes by Pakistan in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia, with both countries accusing each other of aggression and killing several people.
