Pakistan Mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed Slams Indian Players for Poor Sportsmanship After Title Win:
Former Pakistan captain and current U19 mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed has expressed strong disapproval regarding the on field conduct of the Indian team during the recent ACC Mens U19 Asia Cup final. Speaking to the media in Islamabad after Pakistan secured a comprehensive victory by 191 runs Sarfaraz described the behavior of the Indian players as unethical and contrary to the spirit of the game. The match which took place in Dubai saw Pakistan posting a massive total of 348 runs driven by a century from Sameer Minhas before bowling India out for 156. Sarfaraz alleged that the Indian players made disrespectful gestures during the contest and failed to maintain proper decorum. He emphasized that while the Indian side displayed poor attitude the Pakistan team celebrated their historic maiden title win with sportsmanship and dignity The former wicketkeeper batter stressed that cricket should always be played in the right spirit regardless of the intensity of the rivalry. Following the triumph Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a significant cash reward for the young squad to honor their achievement. Sarfaraz lauded the efforts of the coaching staff and players including Ahmed Hussain and Sameer Minhas for their dominance throughout the tournament but maintained that the opposition needs to reflect on their conduct on the field.
