Pakistan’s humiliating defeat in the third T20 against Australia was marked by a disastrous batting collapse and an embarrassing moment for debutant Jahandad Khan.
New Delhi: Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat in the third T20 match against Australia. The Pakistani batsmen crumbled easily in front of the Australian bowlers, and the entire team was bowled out for just 117 runs. Australia chased down the target effortlessly in just 11.2 overs. Marcus Stoinis played a blistering knock of 61 runs off 27 balls for the team. During the match, a humiliating incident occurred involving Pakistan’s rookie cricketer Jhandad Khan, which left him embarrassed right in the middle of the ground.
During Australia’s innings, while attempting to save a boundary, Jhandad Khan’s pants came down. In the very first over of the Australian innings, the batsman played a fine shot off Shaheen Shah Afridi, and the ball went into the gap. Jhandad Khan ran after the ball and attempted a dive to stop it. However, his effort was unsuccessful, and during this attempt, his pants also fell down.

In the viral video, Jhandad Khan is seen lying on the field while trying to pull up his pants. Had Jhandad timed his dive better, he would have successfully stopped the ball. However, because he dived too early, he couldn’t prevent the ball from crossing the boundary. The video of Jhandad has been rapidly going viral on social media.
In the third T20 International match played in Hobart, Pakistan’s fast bowlers were heavily hammered. Shaheen Afridi conceded 43 runs in his 3-over spell, while Marcus Stoinis targeted Haris Rauf, hitting 34 runs off his 3 overs. Australia chased down the target of 118 runs in just 68 balls.
Before the bowlers, Pakistan’s batsmen also failed to deliver, leaving no stone unturned in their collapse. Against the Australian fast bowlers, Pakistan’s batting order fell apart like a house of cards. Babar Azam top-scored for the team with 41 runs, but he couldn’t get support from the other end. Captain Agha Salman was dismissed for just 1 run, while Usman Khan scored 3 and Irfan Khan made 10 runs before returning to the pavilion. Pakistan’s team couldn’t even play out the full 20 overs and was bowled out for just 117 runs.
