IND vs PAK T20 WC: Only Pakistan captain injured? Whether Fatima Sana will play in the match against India or not, know the update

The match between India and Pakistan will be played on June 14 at the Edgbaston ground in Birmingham, England. Fatima Sana got injured during the practice session of Pakistan team a day before the match, after which questions were raised about her playing. In fact, while bowling in the nets on Saturday, Fatima Sana was hit straight on her knee by a strong shot from batsman Ayesha Zafar. As soon as the ball hit the Pakistan captain, she fell on the ground in pain. After this, the team physio and fellow players immediately arrived to help him.

Pakistani captain was injured in the practice session
After the injury, Fatima did not participate in the practice session and kept applying ice on her right knee by sitting on the side of the field for a long time. After this incident, the concern of Pakistan team management and fans had increased, because just before the match against India, the fitness of the captain had become the biggest question.

However, after about 45 minutes the situation appeared normal. Fatima was seen walking without any problem and then even reached the main ground. Later in the press conference, he put an end to all speculations regarding the injury.

I am completely fine: Fatima
Fatima said, ‘It was just a normal incident of being hit by the ball. Ayesha played the shot and the ball hit my knee. Now I am absolutely fine and there is nothing to worry about. However, the fear of injury has been averted. But the biggest concern of Pakistan team remains its poor form. The team had to face defeat in both the practice matches played before the World Cup. Despite scoring 168 runs against Sri Lanka, Pakistan lost by 9 wickets. After this, Scotland also defeated Pakistan by 41 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

Pakistan’s batting has been continuously dependent on a few selected players, while the bowling has also not been as effective as expected. In such a situation, the pressure on the team has increased. The challenge for Pakistan is also big because it is included in a very difficult group. Group A contains strong teams like India, Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh and Netherlands.

In such a situation, Fatima Sana’s fitness before the match against India is considered a big relief for Pakistan. Now all eyes are on this great match, where both the teams would like to make a strong start to their campaign with a win.
