Pakistan: Suicide attack on police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five killed
Pakistan: An incident of a suicide attack has come to light in Bannu area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. A suicide car bomb blast took place at Domel police station in Bannu on Friday. At least five people were killed in the blast, while 13 people including a policeman were injured. District Emergency Officer Bakhtullah Wazir confirmed this.

According to reports, the suicide bomber blew himself up outside Domel police station in KP’s Bannu district, causing damage to nearby houses and shops. Police have not given any further information about the attacker. The explosion was so powerful that its sound was heard miles away. The sentry post of the police station was completely destroyed in the blast, while a large part of the building was turned into debris.
The blast also caused a lot of damage to the surrounding residential areas, many houses collapsed and many people were trapped under the debris. According to Rescue 1122, the injured were immediately taken to nearby hospitals, where the condition of some is said to be critical.
District Emergency Officer Bakhtullah Wazir said that search and rescue operations are going on after the blast. The operation will continue until the area is completely cleared.
