According to media reports, a fine of Pakistani rupees 50 lakh can be imposed on each player for not reaching the semi-finals. However, the board has not yet made any official announcement on this matter.
Pakistan has played seven matches in the group and Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2026. Of these seven matches, they won four, lost two and one was abandoned due to rain. Of the four matches that Pakistan won, only one was against the Test team. The remaining 3 matches have been won against ICC Associate teams.

According to a report by Pakistani media outlet Express Tribune, the decision to impose the fine was taken after the team’s defeat against India on February 15, but it is being said that it will be officially implemented after the team is out of the tournament. According to sources, they have been told that they have been given a lot of relaxation and rewards will be given only for good performance. This time the tournament was held in Sri Lanka. Where the situation was considered beneficial for Pakistan. However, the team did not live up to expectations.
PCB Central Contract Salary
PCB has placed its players in central contracts in four different categories. According to media reports, Category A players get a salary of 45 lakh Pakistani rupees every month. Also, an additional Rs 20.70 lakh is given from ICC revenue. Players included in Category B get a monthly salary of Rs 30 lakh and Rs 15.52 lakh as ICC share. Category C players get Rs 10 lakh as salary and Rs 10.35 lakh from ICC earnings. Whereas in Category D, monthly salary of Rs 7.50 lakh and Rs 5.17 lakh are given from ICC revenue.
