Pakistan announced team for Sri Lanka tour, 8 major changes in T20 team
Delhi:Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the women’s team for the Sri Lanka tour starting from July 23. On this tour, three ODI and three T20 International matches will be played between the two teams. All ODI matches will be held at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
After T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan has made major changes in its T20 team. Keeping the future in mind, the selectors have given opportunities to many young players.
8 changes in T20 team, three players may get debut
Pakistan has made eight changes in the team playing T20 World Cup. Among them, Iman Naseer, Maham Anees and Momina Riyasat are such players who have not yet got a chance to debut in T20 international cricket.

Iman Naseer and Maham Anees are the opening batsmen, while 23-year-old Momina Riyasat is a left-arm spin bowler. She has played three ODI matches for Pakistan.
PCB said that the purpose of these changes is to prepare young players at the international level and include them in the national team.
Fatima Sana will remain out of T20 series
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana will lead the team in the ODI series, but will not be a part of the T20 series. She will play for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred League to be held in England. She has also become the first female cricketer of Pakistan to play in this tournament. In his absence, the T20 team will be captained by Muniba Ali Siddiqui.

Two new faces get a chance in the ODI team
15 players have been included in the ODI team under the captaincy of Fatima Sana. Maham Anees and Saira Jabeen have got a place in this team for the first time.
