Azan Awais Century: Pakistan cricket team has got a new star. 21 year old Azaan Awais created history by scoring a century in his Test debut. A 2-match test series is being played between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Opener Azaan Awais made his Test debut for Pakistan in the Test match being played at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. Azaan Awais scored a century in his debut match itself.
The 21-year-old opening batsman completed his century on the third day of the first Test match. Ajan Awais played an inning of 103 runs in 165 balls against Bangladesh. During this period, 14 fours came from his bat. Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed ended Azaan’s brilliant innings by taking the wicket. Young opening batsman Azaan Awais is the 14th batsman from Pakistan to score a century on Test debut. Earlier in the history of Pakistan cricket, legendary players like Javed Miandad, Younis Khan and Fawad Alam have achieved this feat. Whereas, if we talk about Pakistani batsmen who made their Test debut away from home, till now only 2 batsmen had achieved this feat. Now Azaan Awais has also joined this list. Before him, Fawad Alam had scored a century in Sri Lanka and Umar Akmal had scored a century on Test debut in New Zealand.

Completed century on third day
The first test match is being played between Bangladesh vs Pakistan. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 413 runs in the first innings. In response to this, Azaan Awais and Imam ul Haq came to open the batting innings from Pakistan. Ajan Awais had scored unbeaten 85 runs till stumps on the second day. After this, on the third day, Azaan Awais started the innings cautiously and completed his century with a single off the ball of Nahid Rana in the 51st over. Talking about the match, Bangladesh has scored 413 runs in the first innings with the help of captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto’s century. In response, Pakistan has scored 349 runs after losing 5 wickets in 88 overs. At present Salman Ali Aga is present at the crease after scoring 55 unbeaten runs. The match has been stopped due to rain on the third day of the match.
