Pakistani authorities seek apology from Elon Musk, know the reason Gujarati
Pakistan is currently going through a financial crisis. Pakistan government has no money to run the country. Not only this, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif often keeps asking for money from institutions like IMF and World Bank. Despite the bad condition of Pakistan, the pride of those ruling this country seems to be the same as it was, because a committee of the Pakistan government wants to apologize to Elon Musk for a simple matter.
An incident came to light in Rotherham city of England in which a gang had given drugs to 1400 girls under the age of 16 and raped them. Investigation revealed that most of the people in the gang are of South Asian origin. The largest number of these people were people of Pakistani origin. In this matter, Musk had criticized such people of Pakistani origin on his social media platform ‘X’. After this, when Indian Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote on X that this gang is not an Asian grooming gang but a Pakistani grooming gang. Why should the entire Asian people bear this accusation of being a completely evil nation? So in response to this, Elon Musk also wrote ‘Sachhu’. Pakistani MPs are just angry with Musk about this matter.
Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet company needs a license to operate in Pakistan, and it is still waiting for approval from the Pakistani government. Therefore, the Information Technology and Telecommunications Committee of the Pakistan Senate had called a meeting to discuss the license of Starlink. In the same meeting, MPs first raised the issue of Musk apologizing for his comments.
Committee chairman Pallavsha Mohammad Zai Khan had said that before the debate, many MPs had criticized Musk’s comments on ‘X’. These comments were considered ‘anti-Pakistan’. Pallavsha Khan had said that the committee members had said that the license should be given to Starlink on the condition of amnesty. However, Pallavsha Khan later clarified that we are not saying that this should be a condition, but it was part of the discussion and we can only give our recommendations to the government.
