Pakistani cricket star Imad Wasim has stunned fans by publicly confirming that he has filed for divorce, bringing an end to his marriage to Sannia Ashfaq.
The 36-year-old all-rounder, who married Sannia in a high-profile wedding in August 2019, shared a firm and carefully worded statement announcing the split.
The couple, who later welcomed two children, a daughter and a son, had often been admired for keeping their family life private despite Imad’s fame.
In his message, he revealed that the decision followed “repeated conflicts” over several years that could not be resolved.
While he did not go into personal details, his words made it clear the separation was the result of long-standing issues rather than a sudden fallout.
The cricketer issued a direct plea to the public, asking for privacy and urging people to stop sharing old photos of the couple.
He also requested that Sannia no longer be referred to as his spouse going forward.
