Pakistani men won’t stop starring, even in Dubai, says Nadia Hussain

In a recent podcast, renowned Pakistani model, actress, and makeup artist Nadia Hussain expressed her concerns about the ongoing issues of violence and harassment faced by women, both in Pakistan and abroad.

She specifically highlighted how some Pakistani men exhibit troubling behavior toward women even in places like Dubai.

Nadia recounted an incident during her visit to Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, where she noticed men, dressed in traditional shalwar kameez and joggers, sitting under trees and staring at women in swimsuits. “I’m not sure if they were just staring or thinking something else, but they were watching,” Nadia said, emphasizing that these men were likely from Pakistan.

She added that these men often carried bags and fixated on women, seemingly unconcerned with their surroundings. “They only focus on watching women, and while their actions in Dubai are limited to just looking, the real issue is that in Pakistan, men dare to take things further when they see a woman,” she noted.

Nadia stressed that crime isn’t limited to any specific social class, asserting that criminals, whether rich or poor, must be held accountable.

She pointed out that high-profile cases, from Zahir Jafar’s murder of his wife in Islamabad to Natasha Iqbal’s deadly car accident in Karachi, should serve as reminders that justice must be served to curb such crimes.

Concluding her thoughts, Nadia condemned the harassment faced by women in Pakistan, even those who wear traditional or modest clothing. She argued that men who engage in such behavior should face public punishment to deter future offenses.
