Pakistani players ready to shake hands with Indian team

New Delhi, February 14, 2026: ICC T20 World Cup is currently being played in India and Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, tomorrow a high profile match will be played between India and Pakistan. There is a lot of enthusiasm about this among cricket lovers. On the other hand, Pakistani players also seem to be ready to join hands with Indian players. Pakistani team captain Salman Agha is yearning to shake hands with the Indian players and has once again appealed to the Indian players to show sportsmanship.

In the press conference held before the Ramnari match against India, Pakistani team captain Agha had said that the match between India and Pakistan should be played in the spirit of sports, our team is ready to join hands with the Indian players. My views may not be correct but cricket should be played the way it has always been played. He has to decide what to do next.

After the Pahalgam attack, relations between India and Pakistan have become more tense. Its impact was visible on cricket also. In the Asia Cup match, the Indian captain and players had avoided shaking hands with the Pakistani team. Due to which the controversy had arisen. Not only this, Pakistani players in the cricket field had made inappropriate gestures regarding the military action taken between the two countries after the Pahalgam attack. Not only this, after the Indian team won the Asia Cup, Pakistan Cricket Board chief Naqvi refused to accept the trophy. It is known that till now this trophy has not been received by the winning team. Apart from this, recently Pakistan had made a demand before ICC regarding handshake. However, ICCA rejected this demand of Pakistan.
