Pakistani team could not pay the hotel bill, booking was cancelled, players kept wandering on the streets for hours

Pakistan Hockey Team : Pakistan may pat itself on the back, but the whole world knows its real status. It has always been extending its hands to other countries and instead of development, it uses that money to promote terrorism and buy weapons. Due to these actions of the Pakistan government, its citizens and players have to face humiliation in other countries. The latest example is that of the Pakistani hockey team that went to Australia to play the FIH Pro League, who had to wander on the streets because they could not pay the hotel bill.

According to media reports, during the second phase of the FIH Pro League in Canberra, Australia, the Pakistan national hockey team had to face embarrassment when the hotel canceled its booking due to non-payment of outstanding bills. Due to which Pakistani players had to wander on the road for hours. The team has reached Hobart to play the match. It is being told that Pakistan hockey team and officials were booked in a four star hotel. He was told that Pakistan Hockey Federation and Pakistan Sports Board had made advance payment.

However, on reaching the hotel, the players were told by the hotel management that there was no booking as no payment had been made. After which head coach Tahir Zaman tried to contact the authorities in Pakistan, but due to time difference and alleged lack of funds, no solution was found for hours. At the same time, the Pakistani players, who reached Australia after a long journey, had neither a place to rest nor any arrangement for food and drink.

After much effort, the hotel finally gave them limited rooms. Due to which two-three players had to stay in the same room. The very next day the team had to face defeat by 2-3 against Australia. Let us tell you that Pakistan considers hockey as its national game, but the team is struggling with internal strife and on the economic front. The team has gone on this tour without a regular manager. Former Olympian Anjum Saeed was dropped after a controversy.
