Now a big confession of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari (President of Pakistan) has come out regarding this entire incident. Speaking at an event on Saturday, Zardari admitted that there was an atmosphere of fear in Pakistan’s top leadership during India’s action. He told that at the time of Indian attacks, his military secretary had advised him to go to the bunker for safety.

According to Zardari, my military secretary came to me and said that the war has started. He told me that we should go to the bunker, but I refused. However, through this statement it became clear that India’s retaliatory action was so serious that even the President of Pakistan was advised to go to a safe place.

When India started Operation ‘Sindoor’ against Pakistan

India had launched Operation Sindoor in the early hours of 7 May. Under this operation, Indian Armed Forces carried out precise attacks on nine terrorist targets located in Pakistan. After this, when Pakistan tried to respond, the Indian Army also targeted Pakistani military establishments. These attacks raised a big question on Pakistan’s military preparedness and defense capability.

When Pakistan tried to respond…

Tension on the border increased further after India’s action. Cross-border shelling from Pakistan intensified, to which the Indian Army gave a befitting reply. The situation worsened so much that Pakistan itself had to initiate a ceasefire. Pakistan’s DGMO contacted India’s DGMO and proposed ceasefire, which was accepted by India.

This was also confirmed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. He said that it was agreed between the two countries to stop all types of military actions on land, air and sea. This statement of the President of Pakistan clearly shows that Operation Sindoor not only shocked the terrorist network but also created fear in the top leadership of Pakistan. This is being considered a clear indication of India’s changed security policy and strict stance against terrorism.
