Pakistan’s successful test of Fateh-2 missile, can prevent India’s ‘good looks’?

After Fateh, this time Pakistan has successfully tested the long-range Fateh-2 missile. The Pakistan Army claims that this missile is capable of hitting targets at long distances. The missile was successfully tested by the Army Rocket Force of the Pak Army on Tuesday. The successful test of this missile is definitely going to cause headaches for India. Can India’s sophisticated air defense system stop this sophisticated missile?

According to Pakistan Army’s claim, Fateh-2 missile has a range of 400 km. The first missile of the Fateh series had a range of 140 km. If Pakistan’s claim is true, many areas of India will come within range of the second missile of the Fateh series. It is known that the circular probable error (CEP) of this missile is less than 10 meters. Which means, it can hit the target accurately within 10 meters.

According to Pakistan Army’s claim, Fateh-2 missile has a range of 400 km. The first missile of the Fateh series had a range of 140 km.

According to defense experts, the most dangerous feature of this missile is its flat trajectory. Conventional ballistic missiles launch very high in the sky, making them easily detectable by radar. However, Fateh-2 is relatively close to the ground and flies in a straight line, making it difficult to detect on radar in the early stages. It can also be thrown by placing it on a heavy truck. Pakistan claims that they have developed this missile with completely indigenous technology. However, it is reported that China had technical assistance in the development of this missile.

According to Pakistan’s defense experts, the main objective of Fateh-2 missile is to evade India’s S-400 ie ‘Sudarshan’. In that case, their strategy is ‘saturation attack’, i.e. targeting the S-400 by launching multiple missiles simultaneously. But the fact is, this defense system is the most lethal and impenetrable defense system in the world, which is tactically and technically capable of disabling Fateh-II in mid-air. Not only this, India’s Sudarshan radar system can simultaneously detect more than 300 targets and fire missiles at 36 different targets simultaneously. So, if Pakistan launches multiple missiles, including the Fateh-2, the S-400’s powerful computer will instantly detect and destroy them simultaneously.
