Palace-like airport terminal ready in Jodhpur, PM Modi will inaugurate; Know its features

Jodhpur, Rajasthan is soon going to get the gift of a modern airport terminal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new terminal building on July 4. This project is believed to strengthen the air services of Western Rajasthan as well as give a new impetus to tourism, trade and investment. The terminal which was awaited for a long time is now ready for passengers.

During the Prime Minister’s visit, there is also a possibility of a big announcement regarding the Central Government’s regional air connectivity scheme UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik). According to sources, the government may announce the extension of this scheme for the next 10 years, which will further strengthen small towns and regional airports.

The objective of UDAN scheme is to provide air travel at low fares and connect small cities with big cities of the country. The expansion of this scheme can open the way for new investments and new flights in the regional aviation sector.

Gift of many development projects on the same day

During the Prime Minister’s visit to Rajasthan, not only the Jodhpur Airport Terminal will be inaugurated, but work will also progress on other important infrastructure projects of the state. These also include programs related to the foundation stone of Jaipur Metro Phase-2 and Pachpadra Refinery located in Barmer. This is expected to give new impetus to transport and industrial development in the state.
