Addressing the gathering, Ashish Sood of Delhi said that according to the initial report of Delhi Fire Services, the fire spread rapidly due to the presence of highly flammable material in the basement. The building had only one staircase from ground to roof, due to which direct entry from outside was not possible. However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) questioned why the delay in rescue operations was not mentioned in the report.
