Emotional tribute paid to martyrs on Police Memorial Day in Pandhurna

On Monday morning, Martyr’s Day Parade was organized at the parade ground located at City Police Line, Pandhurna, in memory of the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country on Police Memorial Day. Superintendent of Police Sundar Singh Kanesh took the salute of the parade. After this, the names of 216 police officers/employees from different states in the country, including 23 policemen from Madhya Pradesh, were read out, who sacrificed their lives for the country while performing their duties.

On this occasion, District Collector Mr. Ajay Dev Sharma, Superintendent of Police Mr. Sundar Singh Kanesh, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Neeraj Kumar Soni and all other officers/employees and distinguished citizens, journalists laid a wreath and flower garlands at the Police Martyr Memorial. Paid homage to the martyrs. Also, the importance of Martyr’s Day was explained to the children present.

It is said that on 21 October 1959, a small patrolling group of CRPF personnel deployed to guard the border in Hot Spring, Ladakh, was ambushed by a large number of Chinese forces. But our soldiers bravely faced the Chinese soldiers, in which 10 CRPF soldiers were martyred. In his memory, Police Memorial Day is celebrated every year on 21 October. In the Martyr’s Day parade ceremony, District Collector Mr. Ajay Dev Sharma, Superintendent of Police Mr. Sundar Singh Kanesh, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Neeraj Kumar Soni, District Pandhurna MLA Mr. Nilesh Uike, all SDOPs of District Pandhurna, all police station in-charges, all office staff, police line. And SAF forces, distinguished citizens, journalists were present.
