Paneer Pakodas are rich in taste as well as nutrition, because Paneer is a good source of protein and calcium.
Making Paneer Pakoda is very easy and it does not require much ingredients. Homemade Paneer Pakodas are clean and fresh, so you can enjoy them without any worries.
Ingredients to make Paneer Pakora
- 200 grams paneer (cut into square pieces)
- 1 cup gram flour
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- ½ tsp celery
- salt as per taste
- water as required
- oil for frying
How to make Paneer Pakora
First of all, take gram flour in a bowl and add salt, red chili powder, turmeric and celery and mix well. Now prepare a thick and smooth batter by adding water slowly. Keep in mind that the solution should neither be too thin nor too thick.
Now dip the cheese pieces thoroughly in this gram flour solution. Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is well heated, slowly drop the cheese pieces into the oil. Fry the pakodas on medium flame until they become golden and crisp. Take out the prepared pakodas on tissue paper to remove excess oil.

Tips for serving Paneer Pakora
Serve Paneer Pakoda with hot green chutney, tamarind chutney or tomato sauce. If you want, you can sprinkle some chaat masala on top. It is a perfect snack with tea.
Tips to make Crunchy Paneer Pakodas
- Adding celery to the gram flour solution enhances the taste.
- The oil should be at the right temperature, otherwise the pakodas will absorb the oil.
- If the paneer is too soft then it may break while frying, hence take fresh but hard paneer.
