- Paneer – 200 grams (cut into pieces)
- Tomato – 3-4 (make fine puree)
- Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
- Curd – 2-3 tbsp (whisk)
- Cashew paste – 2-3 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala – 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh cream or malai – 2 tbsp (optional)
- Salt – as per taste
- Oil or ghee – 2 tbsp
- Coriander – to garnish
Method
Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add ginger paste to it and fry it lightly.
Now add tomato puree to it and cook on low flame. When the tomato water starts drying, add turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder and mix well. Cook the spices until oil starts separating.
Now add curd and cook it while stirring continuously so that the curd does not curdle. After this add cashew paste, which will give thickness and creamy texture to the gravy. Cook it on low flame for a few minutes.
Now add paneer pieces and mix garam masala. Mix the paneer lightly with the gravy and cook for 5-7 minutes so that the spices get absorbed well into the paneer.
Lastly, add cream or malai, which will make the gravy even more creamy and rich. Sprinkle green coriander on top.
Serve the prepared paneer gravy with hot roti, paratha, or naan. Its taste is so amazing that everyone will keep licking their fingers.
