Panic after detonator was found on the tracks in Haridwar: Police started investigation, a suspect seen in CCTV
Haridwar: Recently, cases of tampering with railway tracks were reported at many places in different states of the country. At some places gas cylinders were found on the tracks and at some places iron bars were placed on the tracks, after which the security agencies are also on alert regarding the railway tracks.
The latest case has come to light from Haridwar, where there was panic after receiving information that detonators were kept on the Motichur railway track. After which the GRP team immediately reached the spot and realizing the seriousness of the matter, started investigating the tracks. GRP Superintendent of Police Sarita Doval has confirmed that detonators were found on the track.

Giving information about the incident of detonator being found on the tracks, GRP Superintendent of Police Sarita Doval said that we received information that a detonator was found on the Motichur railway track. A suspicious person has been identified on the basis of CCTV footage. A case has been registered under section 288 BNS. Coordination is being done with RPF and we are checking the railway track.

GRP is intensively investigating the incident. GRP Superintendent of Police Sarita Doval said that we have checked the CCTV cameras installed nearby, in which a suspicious person has been identified. At present, a case has been registered under section 288 BNS and the matter is being investigated. During the initial investigation, it was revealed that the detonator found on the track was being used by the Railways itself.
