Firing During Kabaddi Tournament in Punjab: On December 15, during a 4-day sports match organized by Bedwan Sports Club in Mohali city of Punjab, panic spread when an attacker on a motorcycle opened fire indiscriminately. Kabaddi promoter Rana Balachauri was seriously injured in the firing. After the firing the attacker fled from there. Meanwhile, Punjab Police has started investigating the matter.
Attack on Rana Balachauri
Rana Balachauri, the promoter of this Kabaddi tournament going on in Bedwan Sports Club, has been attacked. Talking about this attack, eyewitnesses said that the attacker opened fire directly targeting Rana Balachauri. After committing the incident, the accused fled from the spot, firing in the air while leaving, which created chaos in the field.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, DSP Har Singh Ball reached the spot and immediately took the injured to the hospital. Rana Balachauri’s treatment is continuing in the hospital. Police have registered the case and started investigation and raids are being conducted at various places to search for the accused.

Came close on the pretext of taking selfie
According to the people present in the club, the attackers had come close to promoter Rana Balachauri on the pretext of taking a selfie. According to reports, singer Mankirat Aulakh was also going to attend this match. This attack happened half an hour before his arrival. According to sources, the name of Bambiha Group is being said to be behind this attack. However, the official statement of Punjab Police in this regard is awaited. Injured Rana Balachauri has been admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans said that investigation is currently going on.
