There is panic due to elephant terror in Ramgarh division. The school has been closed in Kuju. On Saturday, when a herd of elephants passed through Ranchi-Patna NH, the forest department lost its breath. Kuju Ranger Bateshwar Paswan said that for the last four days, the Forest Department has been continuously trying to drive the elephants away from the population towards safe forests. However, the operation is facing challenges due to the elephant herd being divided into four parts. Despite this, the team has successfully diverted more than half of the elephants towards Bokaro forest.
Firearms, torches, spray torches and other equipment are being used throughout the night during the rescue operation. When elephants come face to face at night, they are gradually being driven towards the forest through these means. Due to the fragmentation of the herd, complete success has not been achieved yet, but the campaign is continuing.

This rescue team includes about two dozen personnel, who are patrolling the forest area with six to seven four-wheelers. The team’s food is also prepared collectively and eaten in the forest area itself, so that the safety of common citizens can be ensured and any major accident can be prevented.
The forest department’s own goal is to keep the elephants at a safe distance from the populated areas and bring them back into the dense forests, but the forest officials of the area do not get any timely information about the movement of the elephants. They neither use modern technology nor take any concrete steps to create a safe place for elephants. Hundreds of people die every year due to elephants in different areas of Jharkhand, yet the forest department does not seem to be taking any concrete steps.
