Fake notes worth Rs 1 crore, Rs 13 lakh cash and 38 gold biscuits recovered

The biggest shock to the police during the raid was the cache of fake notes. Fake notes worth about Rs 1 crore have been found from the spot. All these notes are of Rs 500 and Rs 200 and were kept hidden in a very clever manner. Along with this, real cash worth Rs 13 lakh has been found. Police also found 38 pieces of gold biscuits. The recovered biscuits include both fine gold and gold gold. Apart from this, illegal weapons, cartridges and two vehicles used in crime have also been seized.

Real-Fake Gold Swap Game

Police suspect that this gang not only printed fake notes but also cheated people by exchanging real and fake gold. Roll Gold biscuits were sold as genuine. The police is now finding out where this gold came from and to whom was it sold?

Motihari Police is now looking into this entire matter by linking it with national security. The police are mainly focusing on three points. First- Where is the main source of fake notes on such a large scale? Second- Where were these notes to be spent? Third- Which states or Nepal border are the links of this international syndicate connected to? Officials say that many important clues have been found from the recovered mobile phones, transactions and vehicle numbers.

Fear of being connected to Nepal border

According to police sources, Suleman Ansari’s network may extend till Nepal border. Fake notes and gold were brought to India through Nepal. Then it was consumed in Bihar, UP and Delhi. Police are now in touch with SSB and NIA. An alert has also been issued on the border.

Police suspect that some white-collar people may also be involved in this syndicate. The business of counterfeit notes and gold cannot run on such a large scale without local support. SDPO said that after interrogation, names of some big businessmen and leaders may also come to light. The search operation is still going on.

Such cases have happened before also

Cases of smuggling of fake notes and gold have already come to light in the areas bordering the border, but this is the first time such a huge recovery has been made. Police say that this gang was active for the last 2 years. Till now it has done business worth crores.
