‘Papa, save me…’, hearing the son’s plea, the father ran and was shot by the assailants, died – Read
A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Nand Nagri area of Delhi. A father had reached here to save his son. Some people were beating his son. The son himself got scared and called his father. As soon as the father came to his rescue, the attackers shot him. Due to this the father died. The father died in front of his son.
According to the information, after a fight with a 15-year-old teenager on Tuesday evening, his father, who came to save him, was shot dead. The police have registered a case of murder and started searching for the accused.
According to the police, Tehzeem, a class 10 student studying tuition in B-2 block, was returning home after studies on Tuesday evening. Near the big school located in A-2 Block, he saw that some boys were beating three of his friends. As soon as they saw Tehzeem, the accused caught hold of him and started beating him.
The frightened teenager immediately called his father Mohammad Umardeen (35) and called him to the spot. Said- Papa, save me. On hearing this, Umardin reached the spot with his wife Rabia. It is alleged that during this time a young man took out a pistol and first fired several rounds in the air and then shot Umardeen in the chest. As soon as he was shot, he fell down bleeding. The accused fled after committing the crime.
Body kept in mortuary for post mortem
The injured Umardin was immediately taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB), where doctors declared him dead. As soon as the information was received, the police and crime team reached the spot and collected evidence. The body has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem.
Police checking CCTV cameras
The police officer said that a case has been registered in this regard under the sections of murder. The footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site is being scrutinized. Some suspects have been identified during interrogation of the teenager and other eyewitnesses. Many teams are raiding for his arrest. There is mourning in the family. The deceased lived in Nand Nagri with his father Abdul Rashid, wife Rabia, four daughters and one son Tehzeem.
