Partnership Conclave of World Bank and Gates Foundation, UP is far ahead in development and PPP model.

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in the “Partnership Conclave” organized in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, described the participation of technology, government schemes and private sector as necessary for the sustainable development of the state and improvement in the agriculture sector. Representatives from various national and international institutions participated in the event, organized in collaboration with the World Bank and the Gates Foundation.

Highlighting the challenges and achievements of the state, CM Yogi said that efforts are being made to connect the farmers and agriculture sector in Uttar Pradesh with new technologies and resources. He shared the achievements of the state government which have brought about major changes in the last few years. CM Yogi said that today the farmers of the state are being empowered by solar panels, the state has emerged as a strong center of energy.

Freedom from encephalitis an inspiring success

Describing the eradication of encephalitis disease, which was once considered a “cause of death” in Uttar Pradesh, as a major success of the state, CM Yogi said that before 2017, every year 1500 to 2000 children died due to this disease, but the state government has With the cooperation of WHO, Gates Foundation, UNICEF and other organizations, this problem was completely eliminated in just three years. He said that it is the result of governance, technology and public participation that today there is no death due to encephalitis in UP.

Need for technology and innovation in agriculture sector

The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has the most fertile land and water resources in the country, which offers huge potential in the agriculture sector. He informed that currently 89 Agricultural Science Centers and 6 Agricultural Universities are functioning in the state, which are playing an important role in encouraging the farmers and connecting them with new technologies. He said that so far solar panels have been provided to about 1 lakh farmers, which has helped in solving irrigation and electricity problems. The state government has also taken important steps to provide cheap electricity to the farmers.

CM Yogi's emphasis on connecting farmers with technology

CM Yogi said that unless farmers adopt new technologies, there will be no expected growth in the agriculture sector. Awareness campaigns and extension programs are necessary to take technology to farmers. Through Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Centers of Excellence, farmers should be shown experimentally how new technologies can bring changes in farming.

Along with government, private sector participation is also necessary

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that along with government schemes, participation of the private sector is also necessary. Only through partnership, agricultural productivity can be increased by 3-4 times. The private sector is being encouraged to contribute to the development of the state. The Chief Minister said that providing quality seeds to farmers on time, making proper use of water resources and promoting agriculture-related startups is the priority of the state government. He emphasized that right plans and their effective implementation can bring unprecedented changes in the agriculture sector.

Expressing gratitude to the Gates Foundation, World Bank and other international institutions, the Chief Minister said that their experience and cooperation has accelerated the pace of change in Uttar Pradesh. He said that for us this partnership is the basis of development and this will provide a better future to the farmers and people of Uttar Pradesh. Through the Partnership Conclave, the Chief Minister appealed to promote technology, awareness and innovation in agriculture and other sectors.

Cabinet Ministers Surya Pratap Shahi, Anil Rajbhar, Minister of State Dinesh Pratap Singh, Chief Secretary Manoj Singh and officials and dignitaries of related departments were present in the conclave.
