Patna bound IndiGo flight fails to land due to bad weather, returns to Delhi
New Delhi: A Patna bound Indigo flight 6E 5008 that took off from Delhi Airport at around 7:25 in the evening failed to land in the city. The flight circled over Patna skies nine times but could not land reportedly due to bad weather.
Finally, the flight was forced back to Delhi and landed safely. The flight was in the air for over three hours after it took off from Delhi. As per flight radar data, the IndiGo flight headed back to Delhi without landing in Patna.
Mumbai to Patna flight also diverted
Another Patna bound IndiGo flight 6E 5173 that took off from Mumbai couldn’t land in the city and was diverted to Lucknow. The flight took off from Mumbai at 6.25 pm and was to land in Patna at 9.33 pm. There are reports of bad weather in Patna due to which flights are not able to land.
In a statement on X, IndiGo stated, “Hi, our goal is always to get our customers to their destination on time; however, there are times when unexpected situations arise. As checked, the flight is diverted to Lucknow due to bad weather conditions in Patna, which is beyond our control.”
