Patwari suspended for giving wrong information in public hearing, Collector said – People who work under pressure from politicians are not wanted
Collector Swapnil Wankhade has once again shown strict attitude with the aim of bringing administrative tightening in Datia district. Patwari Shailendra Sharma was suspended on the spot for negligence in work and giving wrong information during the public hearing held in Basai town on Wednesday. The Collector gave a clear message that there is no place in the administration for such employees who work under pressure from politicians, ignoring public interest.
This entire matter came to light during the public hearing held in Basai town. Here the villagers presented their problems before the collector. Meanwhile, questions were raised on the role of Patwari regarding the dispute of a public drain. The villagers alleged that the Patwari was working under the influence of local influential people and leaders, due to which the problem was not being solved.
Drain dispute and wrong information became the reason
The villagers said in their complaint that there has been a dispute going on for a long time regarding a drain coming out of the main road. It is alleged that some people have occupied government land and built houses, due to which the flow of the drain has stopped and a situation of waterlogging has arisen. Whenever this matter was complained about, the Patwari tried to avoid the matter by saying that the drain was crooked and presenting a wrong report.
When this issue was raised in the public hearing, the Collector investigated the facts on the spot. During investigation, the information given by the Patwari was found to be misleading. Expressing displeasure over this, the Collector gave instructions to suspend Patwari Shailendra Sharma with immediate effect.
