New Delhi. The way has been cleared for the formation of a new government in Tamil Nadu. Preparations regarding this have also started. Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay reached Lok Bhavan on Friday and met the Governor and staked claim to form the government. Besides, he also handed over a letter of support to the Governor, after which Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar invited him to form the government. It is being told that tomorrow Vijay will take oath as the Chief Minister.

After getting support from Congress and Left parties, TVK chief Vijay staked claim to form the government. Hours after the Left parties extended their unconditional support, Vijay reached Raj Bhavan for the third time on Friday and submitted the letter of support for the figures required to form the government. TVK has performed strongly in the elections by winning a total of 108 seats.
Let us tell you that earlier only Congress had supported Vijay. Now CPI, CPIM, VCK and Indian Union Muslim League have decided to support Vijay’s TVK. It is being told that Vijay has the support of more than 120 MLAs, more than the majority. The magic figure of majority to form the government in Tamil Nadu, which has 234 assembly seats, is 118.
