Preity Zinta Charms Fans Again With Her Gesture in Stands, Meets Shubman Gill’s Father — WATCH

One of the reasons there are always a large number of people who come to watch Punjab Kings’ Indian Premier League matches is the franchise’s owner, Preity Zinta. With her constant presence and warm gestures towards fans, she remains one of the most loved personalities in the league. On Tuesday night, during PBKS’s opener against the Gujarat Titans, the Bollywood actress and franchise owner met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Shubman Gill’s father in the stands.

In the viral video, Zinta was seen interacting with the Chief Minister and did not recognize Gill’s father when Bhagwant Mann introduced her to Lakhwinder Singh Gill. The way she greeted him with a warm smile won the hearts of fans.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings defeated the Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans by three wickets in a thrilling encounter in the fourth match of IPL 2026, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. Debutant Cooper Connolly was the hero for Punjab, scoring an unbeaten 72 off 44 balls to chase down a target of 163 with five balls to spare.

After winning the toss, Punjab asked GT to bat first and restricted them to 162/6 in 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant bowling spell from Vijaykumar Vyshak, who picked up 3/34, and Yuzvendra Chahal, who took 2/28. Marco Jansen was the other contributor, finishing with figures of 1/20.

He sealed the win with a boundary through the covers off Washington Sundar. PBKS had slipped from a comfortable 110/2 to 118/6 in just 15 deliveries, with Prasidh Krishna dismissing Shreyas Iyer, Shashank Singh, and Marcus Stoinis in rapid succession.

PBKS pacer Arshdeep Singh also equaled the record for the longest over in IPL history during the final over of the GT innings, which lasted 11 balls due to multiple wides and a no-ball.
