Driven by a disciplined reduction in total operating expenses to ₹831.22 crore compared to ₹944.63 crore a year ago, the company achieved strong bottom-line growth despite total quarterly income adjusting slightly to ₹875.58 crore. Following the positive earnings announcement, RattanIndia Power’s sub-₹10 penny stock closed higher at ₹8.63 on the BSE/NSE on Friday.

Amravati Thermal Plant Hits Record 92.43% Plant Load Factor And Generates Open Market Revenue

A primary catalyst for RattanIndia Power’s operational rebound is the stellar performance of its flagship 1,350 MW thermal power plant located in Amravati, Maharashtra. During the Q1 FY27 period, the facility ranked among the top-performing power generation assets nationwide, achieving a high Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 92.43% alongside a Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 98.15%. To sustain peak generation, the company received and processed 449 coal rakes at an average of 4.9 rakes daily. Beyond fulfilling its long-term 1,200 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), RattanIndia Power sold 17.99 million units (MUs) of surplus electricity on the open power exchange, yielding an additional ₹15.05 crore in direct revenue.
